摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a Cu alloy consisting of specified amounts of Mn and Ni and the balance Cu and having an extremely significant effect to prevent the fouling of oceanic life. CONSTITUTION:This Cu alloy consists of 1.0-5.0% Mn, 1.0-30% Ni and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities, can prevent economically and perfectly the fouling of marine life such as barnacles, and has high workability. In case of <1.0% Mn, the effect of the alloy to prevent the fouling of barnacles is reduced, and in case of <=5.0% Mn, the antifouling effect is especially significant. In case of <1% Ni, the alloy has low workability, and in case of >30% Ni, the effect of the alloy to prevent the fouling of marine life is reduced and the cost of the alloy is increased. It is preferable that the amount of other elements including impurities is regulated to <=about 0.1%.
