INJECTION STRETCH-BLOW MOLDED CONTAINER AND RESIN COMPOSITION

Clear container mfd. by stretch-blow moulding a polypropylene -based resin has sidewalls with percentage haze, converted to 1 mm thickness, of not more than 9%. The resin is a random copolymer of propylene with an alpha-olefin, pref. ethylene present at 1-6 wt.%. Pref. polymers have a melt flow index(MFI) 4-50 (esp. 4-20) g/10 min and a relationship between MFI and intrinsic viscosity (IV) in tetralin at 135 deg.C such that logMFI + 5.20logIV = 1.70 to 1.95.
