PURPOSE:To facilitate resetting work of rollers by installing a work roll shift mechanism and transferring upper and lower work rolls to a limit of stroke, and then performing resetting and zero-adjusting work. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower roll chocks 2a, 2a' are arranged freely movably in vertical and horizontal directions on an internal window of work side housing 1a. Shafts of work rolls 3a, 3b are supported within the chocks 2a, 2a'. A bracket 5 is fixed to the housing 1a by bolts, and a cylinder 8 is arranged on the upper end face of the bracket 5 at a right angle to the rolling line. When the cylinder 8 is moved to Z direction, a lever 12 rotates with a center axis 11 as a fulcrum and move rolls 3a, 3b in the shaft direction X. In the case of resetting rolls, by transferring the rolls 3a, 3b to the limiting positions of strokes, the resetting and zero-adjusting works may be performed simply. Thus, the resetting work is simplified.
