A device for waxing skis or the like includes a heat conducting plate (1) to be set against the skis and an electric heating element (3) to warm up the plate. The heating element has the form of a relatively thin foil sandwiched between the plate (1) and an upper piece (5) attached to the plate. This upper piece has a gutter (16) or similar arrangement to direct melted wax on the upper piece into a stream along the gutter and via a lip (20) projecting past the underlying plate (1) down onto the existing ski.<IMAGE> |
