PURPOSE:To obtain linearity in the vicinity of the center of D/A conversion, by making the output value of a reference output circuit equal to the output value at the 4th bit from the lowest order side of an element D/A converter. CONSTITUTION:When the output value of a reference output circuit 600 is made equal to the output value at the 4th bit from the lowest order side of an element D/A converter, linearity in the vicinity of D/A conversion can be obtained. In other words, when the accuracy of the output value of a reference output circuit 600 is maintained lower than the 1/2 of the output value of the lowest order bit, linearity in the vicinity of the center of the D/A converter can be secured sufficiently. Since the output of the reference output circuit 600 is produced on the basis of the reference voltage source 1 of the element D/A converter 300, an output value which is almost equal to the output value at the 4th bit of the element D/A converter 300 can be obtained easily.
