A wood pulp of deciduous wood or softwood is mixed with water and thermoplastic and thermosetting resins. The mixt is fed to a sheet forming machine. and about 30-40% of the water is removed. Resins provide temporary binding of the fibres for transport. During subsequent mfr. the temp is raised to esp. 160 deg.C and the thermosetting resin is cured. Resultant density is 0.4kg/dm3 esp. 0.55kg/dm3. |
