PURPOSE:To prevent a developer from scattering out of the opening of a developer conveyor pipe during the handling of a paper jam and maintenance by dividing a copying machine into two upper and lower parts and resetting a lock state, and closing the opening part of a developer conveying means. CONSTITUTION:The copying machine is provided with a clear unit 6 at its upper part 1 and a developer recovery container 3 at its lower part 2. When the copying machine is divided into two upper and lower parts, a stopper lever 19 is rotated by a spring as shown by an arrow (e) as the upper frame moves up and a lock lever 16 disengages from a stopper lever projection part 19a; and a recovery container mount 14 is energized by the spring and the recovery container 3 rotates as shown by an arrow 9c) to move away from before the copying machine. At the same time, the projection part 12a of a recovery pipe lid 12 is released from being pressed against the recovery container mount 14 and the lid 12 moves along the recovery pipe 9 as shown by an arrow (d) to close the opening part 10a at the tip. |
