PURPOSE:To store efficiently a partial set even when the partial set calls for a large capacity or the total set requires an extra-large capacity and to process the operation of set at high speed by dividing the arrangement of binary display in a free unit. CONSTITUTION:A bit scanning section 4 scans the partial set from the bit arrangement expressing the total set, a boundary discrimination section 5 separates the bit found out at the byte boundary to obtain the start position, and a set extracting section 6 extracts the bit arrangement from the start position until the consecutive bits are intermitted by the scanning section 4 to obtain the length of bit arrangement. Since the total set is expressed efficiently with good separation by using plural pairs of data comprising the start position and the length of bit arrangement form the discriminating section 5and the extraction section 6, the storage capacity to express the partial set is decreased and the operation of set is quickened by the handling of less storage capacity. |
