The present invention relates to a fuel filter and a fuel supply circuit fitted with this filter. This filter 6 comprises a leaktight receptacle 11 internally provided with a filtering wall 15 and in which an intake 14 and outlet 16 pipe for the fuel emerge, respectively on either side of the filtering wall 15, while a passageway 17 is provided between the upper top part of the filter and a pipe for return of the fuel to a tank, this path 17 being fitted with a one-way valve 20 which allows the fuel to pass only in the tank 11-return pipe direction. The filter of the invention is intended to be fitted to the fuel supply circuit of an internal combustion engine of the Diesel or fuel- injection type. <IMAGE>
