摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify an inspecting device by discriminating ultrasonic reflected waves for the thickness of one plastic pipe and that of two plastic pipes from each other. CONSTITUTION:In a junction part 1 plastic pipes which are joined with an adhesive between them by insertion, both pipes 1a and 1b are joined into one body by the adhesive in a part A, and the adhesion is insufficient and a contacting interface (b) exists in a part B. When an ultrasonic wave is radiated from an ultrasonic transmitter and receiver 2 and the reflected wave of the radiated ultrasonic wave is received in this state, the ultrasonic wave is first reflected on the interface (b) in the part B, and consequently, the reflected wave is received when a time 2T/C (t1) elapses after the radiation of the ultrasonic wave if the thickness of one plastic pipe is denoted as T and the acoustic velocity is denoted as C. Since both plastic pipes are joined into one body in the part A, the ultrasonic wave is not reflected there and the reflected wave is received a time 2t1 after the radiation of the ultrasonic wave. Thus, reception of the reflected wave after the time t1 or 2t2 is printed by a printer 3 to discriminate the adhesive state.
