The invention relates to portable and manual pliers intended for printing on thin objects by means of the thermographic process. These pliers consist of a housing 1 furnished with two arms. One 3 of these is movable and has a force applied to it in the opposite direction to the spring 18. This actuates a gear train 31 which drives down the stamper 6 on which is a punch 12 heated and regulated by thermostat 10. By pressure, the punch 12 transfers to the stock 11 placed on the platen 13 a coloured pigment carried by the transfer film 16. The spring 18 restores the arm 3 to its initial position, simultaneously winding on the film 16 from the reel 15 by means of pressure rollers 20. The pliers according to the invention are particularly intended for printing on supports such as: visiting cards, photographs, brochures and small advertising articles. It will therefore be useful for tradesmen, sales representatives, photographers and so forth, and any individual regularly using the types of support described above. <IMAGE>
