PURPOSE:To lower flickering on a line by obtaining one dot of a circumference edge section of a character by a character font ROM disposed at a receiving side and performing a multi-gradation processing for inserting an intermediate color having an intermediate brightness level between the character color and a background color into the circumference edge section. CONSTITUTION:Of character broadcasting signals applied to an input, the data of a character broadcasting program selected by a selecting key 2 is initially stored in a character code column buffer memory 3. This character code column comprises a character code designating a type of displaying character, a color data designating the color of the displaying character, and a display position data indicating the position displaying the character. The character code is fed to a character font ROM, a character font dot pattern data F1 indicating a shape of the character of the type designated by the character code is outputted, and multi-gradation processed 5 based on the color data to be converted into a display font data and be written in a display memory 6. The display memory 6 reproduces again and again and displays the obtained signal by a display tube 7 to provide the character broadcasting program. |
