PURPOSE:To provide the titled suppressing agent comprising a water-soluble fraction in an extract obtained by extracting the sap or leaf of aloe with a solvent. CONSTITUTION:The leaf of a plant belonging to Aloes genus, Liliaceae family (e.g. Aloe arborescens, Aloe ferox, etc.) is cut to small pieces, dried and pulverized to obtain dried powder of aloe leaf. The powder or concentrated sap of aloe is used as a raw material and extracted with a solvent. An agent for suppressing the degranulation of mastocyte can be produced by collecting the water-soluble fraction from the above extract. When a water-soluble organic solvent or an aqueous organic solvent is used as the solvent, the extracted liquid is concentrated to dryness and dissolved in an aqueous solution to obtain a water-soluble fraction. In the same manner, when the solvent is a water- insoluble organic solvent, the extracted liquid is concentrated and mixed with water to obtain the objective water-soluble fraction.
