PURPOSE:To enable beautiful printing by arranging characters printed on paper in a well-balanced state, by forming a printing character pattern by a dot matrix in matching relation to a form of a printing character by a type. CONSTITUTION:A composite printer is equipped with a memory means for storing a printing character data group used in the printing of printing paper by using a first printing part 5 and a second printing part 6, a first drive control means for applying drive control to a first printing part 5 on the basis of the printing character data to be printed by the first printing part 5 in the printing character data group, an indexing means for indexing the character pattern matched with the printing form of the first printing part with respect to the printing character data printed by the second printing part 6 in the printing character data group and a second drive control means for applying drive control to the second printing part 6 on the basis of the character pattern indexed by the indexing means. The indexing means indexes the character pattern matched with the printing form of a type printed in the first printing part. The second control means applies drive control to the second printing part on the basis of the same printing pattern and prints the character matched with the printing form by a dot matrix. |
