PURPOSE:To enhance the safety of running of a vehicle, by providing, at the inner periphery of a tire rim, a plunger exerted by the air-pressure of a tire to be urged to project from the tire so that the projecting amount of the plunger is detected to judge and display whether its projection is appropriate or not. CONSTITUTION:A plunger 3 arrange at the inner periphery of a tire rim 2 is urged inward of the tire rim 2 by means of a spring 8 while it is urged outward of the tire rim 2 by the air-pressure of the tire so that it is held in its equilibrium state. Further, when the projecting amount of the plunger 33 is changed due to a variation in the tire pressure, the gap between a magnet 3 at the front end of the plunger 3 and a Hall element 11 varies. This variation is detected as an electromotive force, and is delivered to a judging means which is not shown, for judging whether it is within an appropriate range of variations or not. When it is out of the range, it is informed for warning that the air- pressure is abnormal. With this arrangement, the tire-air pressure may be monitored irrespective of stopping and running of the vehicle, thereby it is possible to enable the safety of running of the vehicle. |
