PURPOSE:To provide counter balance valve function, holding function, sealing function, and reproducing shaping function, by a method wherein a poppet and a hollow spool are located within a valve body, and the shaft part of the hollow spool is brought into contact with the one end of the poppet. CONSTITUTION:A poppet 28 and a hollow spool 20 are located within a valve body 1, the hollow spool 20 and the poppet 28 are energized toward a partition wall 17, and a shaft part 21 of the hollow spool 20 is brought into contact with the one end of the poppet 28. With this constitution, when the feed of pressure oil through an inlet port 2 is stopped, the poppet 28 is momentarily closed, and in the closed position of the poppet 28, the poppet 28 is tightly pressed to a valve seat 26. When the feed of pressure oil to the load side of a cylinder device is stopped, since hammering phenomenon occurs between the poppet 28 and the hollow spool 20, holding function, sealing function, reproducing shaping function as well as counterbalance valve function are provided.
