PURPOSE:To allow the inhabitation of aquatic aminals by a method in which a cavity is provided in a vertically opened state in blocks, a through hole leading to the cavity is provided in the front face of the blocks, and thin walls are formed on the left and right sides. CONSTITUTION:A cavity 3 is formed in a vertically opened state in the inside of a nearly rectangular low-water revetment block A, and a through hole 5 is formed in the front face 4 of the block A. The cavity 3 is connected with the outside space of the front face 4 of the block A. Recessions 7 and 7' are provided on the left and right sides 6 and 6' of the block A, and easily borable thin walls 8 and 8' are formed between the recessions 7 and 7' and the cavity 3. The blocks A are connected with each other vertically and bilaterally on the construction site of revetment work, and holes are drilled in the thin walls 8 and 8' to connect the cavity 3 with the left and right outside spaces of the blocks A. A stagnant portion of river water, which is suitable for spawning of fish, is formed in corners 18 of the cavity 3, whereby accelerating the growth of aquatic aminals.
