PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform measurement accurately for a long period, by attaching an ultrasonic wave transmitter and an ultrasonic wave receiver in a Z method at the opposite sides in the circumferential direction of a pipe, and attaching an ultrasonic wave transmitter and an ultrasonic wave receiver in a V method in the same circumferential direction of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:On the outer surface of a pipe 3, an ultrasonic wave transmitter 2 and an ultrasonic wave receiver 5 for performing a Z method are attached. The ultrasonic wave receiver 5 is arranged at the opposite side on the circumferential direction of the pipe 3 with respect to the ultrasonic wave transmitter 2. On the outer surface of the pipe 3, an ultrasonic wave transmitter 2a and an ultrasonic wave receiver 5a for performing a V method are attached. The ultrasonic wave receiver 5a is arranged on the same circumferential direction of the pipe 3 with respect to the ultrasonic wave transmitter 2a. When the length of straight part of the pipe 3 is sufficient and the effect of disturbance such as turbulence is few, the Z method is used as a reference and the V method is used for correction. Conversely, when the length of the straight part is not sufficient, the V method is used as a reference, and the Z method is used for correction. Thus the flow rate, flow speed and the like can be measured accurately for a long period. |
