PURPOSE:To make an operator dispense with his avoiding operation, by letting a device store the position of an obstacle on the basis of an operating position as soon as the avoiding operation for a car washing obstacle has been done. CONSTITUTION:When an obstacle avoiding input is emitted out of a lifting operation inputting device of an operation panel 18, a body traveling position is read out and stored in a first memory device. Simultaneously, an avoiding motion position at returning is found according to a tilt at the inputted point of time being read out of a tilt detecting device of a swing arm 6 of a top brush, and the data is stored in a second memory device. After ward, data given by a traveling position detecting device is checked up with that of the forst memory device at outgoing but that of the second memory device at returning, respectively, so that at that point that they accord with each other, the avoiding motion required is secured.
