Depending on the deflection of an accelerator pedal, a delivery control lever 2 of the injection pump 1 is deflected by an actuator 5. To achieve an emergency driving operation in the event of failure of the actuator 5, the first actuator 5 is overridden by a second actuator 14 which deflects the lever 2 into a position in which the internal combustion engine is operative within a lower load range. A hand- operated valve 18 when actuated admits compressed air into the actuator 14 which moves a sleeve 10 into engagement with a sleeve 7 linked to the lever 2. <IMAGE> |
