PURPOSE:To produce a powdery raw material sinterable at a low temperature and composed of a lead-containing perovskite-type compound oxide, by calcining a mixture of an oxide of one or more kinds of metals such as Ti, Zr, etc., and an oxalate of one or more kinds of metals such as Mg, Ni, etc., mixing the obtained calcined powder with Pb3O4 and calcining the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The objective powder can be produced by (1) mixing an oxide and/or hydroxide of one or more metals selected from Ti, Zr, Nb and Ta with an oxalate of one or more metals selected from Mg, Ni, Zn and Mn, (2) calcining the mixture at 400-1,100 deg.C and (3) mixing the powder produced by the above calcination with Pb3O4 and calcining the mixture at 400-1,000 deg.C. The hydroxide of Ti-Ta is preferably a coprecipitated hydroxide obtained by precipitating from a solution containing a solvent-soluble compound of said metal. |
