PURPOSE:To print and display automatically exposed data, etc., by setting exposed data, etc., set for test exposure in a data printing device associatively with data setting operation, displaying characters and symbols showing the set data by light emission, and printing those characters and symbols from the reverse surface of photographic paper through its base. CONSTITUTION:The data printing device 5 is arranged at the downstream side of a mask window hole closely to the reverse surface of the photographic paper 1. A light emission display surface 6 emits light to display data on test exposure, projection magnification, etc., which are set in the operation part of the automatic printer associatively with the setting operation. When an area on the photographic paper 1 within the mask window hole is exposed to an image by an exposing means where a necessary color negative is mounted, the exposure, projection magnification, etc., applied to the image exposure are displayed on the data printing device by light emission and exposed to and printed on the color photographic paper 1 from its reverse surface through its base. Consequently, the exposed color photographic paper is developed to record and display the exposed data on respective images at the peripheries image lines 8a-8c, etc., formed by the test exposure. Consequently, print recording is performed automatically and a failure due to mistranscription is eliminated.
