<p>The invention relates to the monitoring of tube-rolling installations in which the rolls are not driven and the deforming force is applied by way of an auxiliary tool by means of the workpiece to be deformed, such as, for example, in tube push bench installations. The aim of the invention is to reduce the downtimes in highly productive tube-rolling installations, the said installations being monitored both for spontaneously occurring overloads and also for changes due to drift. To achieve the object, the tube-rolling installation is fitted with a monitoring device which contains input units inter alia for the power consumption per working stand/displacement path traversed, memories and comparator circuits, a plurality of controlled integrators and the control circuit required for them, and output units. The device for monitoring tube-rolling installations is connected to sensors for the speed and position of the mandrel bar, for the position and temperature of the workpiece to be deformed and for the current and voltage of the driving motor and acts on the shut-down devices of the rolling mill.</p> |
