PURPOSE:To obtain a weight even if a balancer is reduced in thickness and to improve the flow of molten metal by employing a metal of larger specific gravity than aluminum and low melting point for a die casting material which is formed integrally with a rotor core and a permanent magnet piece. CONSTITUTION:A motor driven element 21 and a rotary compressing element 22 are contained in a sealed vessel 20. The element 21 is composed of a stator 23 and a rotor 25, and the rotor 25 is composed of a rotor core 28, end rings 30, 31 a plurality of permanent magnets 32 and a surface reinforcing member 33. Upper and lower balancers 34, 35 are formed integrally with the rings 30, 31. Metal having larger specific gravity than aluminum and low melting point such as zinc is used for a die casting material 29 of the rings 30, 31 for mounting permanent magnet pieces 32 on the outer periphery of the core 28, thereby improving the flow of melted metal at die casting time to reduce the thicknesses of the balancers 34, 35. |
