PURPOSE:To perform secure and speedy brazing operation by providing a space at the outer periphery of the lower part of the upper electrode in an upper lid body, charging asbestos or glass cotton in the lid body and forming gas confining layers, and providing a sending-in hole for sending gaseous argon into the space. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 5 and 6 are provided to the bottom part 2 of a lower container body 1 and the top plate 4 of the upper lid body 3 opposite each other and an end surface of the lower electrode 5 and an end surface of the upper electrode 6 are formed in such a shape that they contact the brazing part 7 of a brazing body over the entire surface. The space 8 is provided at the outer periphery of the upper part of the lower electrode 5; and asbestos or glass cotton is charged in the container body 1 while projecting slightly from the top surface of the side plate 9 of the container body to form a gas confining layer 10 and asbestos or glass cotton is further charged while providing a space 11 at the outer periphery of the lower part of the upper electrode 6 to form a gas confining layer 12. Then, gaseous argon sending-in ports 18 and 14 are provided to the container body 1 and lid body ports 18 and 14 are provided to the container body 1 and lid body 8 while open to the spaces 8 and 11. Consequently, only the brazing part is put in the container body and brazed, so a large device is not required and gaseous argon is charged in the gas confining layer 10 and 12 to form a no-oxygen state, thereby securing the brazing operation. |
