A video synthesizer, effects unit for studios for generating electronic images. Three-dimensional (perspective) effects by means of a shape generator in conjunction with a non-linear circuit, utilizing the diode or transistor characteristic. A structure of the image is achieved by a circuit which generates a multiplicity of equidensity lines, a travelling movement of these lines being effected by means of a sawtooth generator.
