A quick socket and a strut, especially for transport vehicles, and comprising a strut and a socket fitting thereto and comprising a carrier portion (3) and a locking portion (4), in which the carrier portion (3) is adapted to receive the strut with some play, and in which the locking portion (4) is formed with one or more key means (9, 10), which are resiliently biassed in the direction upwards-inwards towards the center of the carrier portion (3) whereby the key means press the strut to a play-free contact with the carrier portion (3). The key means (9, 10) is/are slidable in obliquely extending slots (11) in the sides of the locking portion. For positively securing the strut against un-intentional removal from the quick socket, the quick socket has a bayonet like locking groove (6, 7), which cooperates with a projecting shoulder of the strut. |
