A device is disclosed comprising a control centre C with first means 20 for comparing the serial number of the card 11 with a list E of valid series and second means 30 for comparing the serial number with a serial calendar CS; the said second means being suitable for issuing a card validation criterion based on a fixed and preset date for each valid series (see fig. 1).
