PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion-resistant paintability of a titled welding rod obtd. by controlling simultaneously the contents of Na2O, K2O, fluorine added in the form of fluoride and further chlorine. CONSTITUTION:The coating material which contains Na2O and K2O in a manner as to satisfy the formulas, contains the fluorine in the form of fluoride at 1-8% and contains the chlorine decreased to <=70ppm is coated on a steel core wire. The titled welding rod which obviates the deterioration of the coated film by the fumes generated in the stage of welding and sticking near the bead in the corrosion resistant painting after welding is obtd. by the above-mentioned constitution.
