PURPOSE:To make possible the easy exchange of a roll change by constituting a titled rolling mill in such a manner tha the bearing box of a small-diameter work roll is contained in the bearing box of an intermediate roll, loading the bearing box for the intermediate roll to the bearing box of the lower work roll and changing the rolls in the stage of changing the rolls. CONSTITUTION:Back up rolls 10, 14 are supported by the bearing boxes 16, 27 and are moved upward and downward along liners 15 in a stand. The intermediate roll 11 is supported by the bearing box 18 and is pressed to the back-up roll 10 by a piston 17 for a bender in a block 20. The work roll 12 is supported by the bearing box 10, is contained in the bearing box 18 for the intermediate roll and is pressed to the intermediate roll 11. The lower work roll 13 is supported by the bearing box 30 and is pressed to a back-up roll 14. The bearing box 19 of the work roll 12 is contained in the bearing box 18 for the intermediate roll and this bearing box 18 is loaded on the bearing box 30 of the lower work roll and therefore the rolls can be carried to the outside of the stand in a stable state. Simultaneous carrying of the three rolls 11, 12, 13 to the outside by using a pair of rails 24 alone is also possible.
