For protection of the catalytic converter body against vibrations and impacts and for simple and series construction of catalytic converter systems, the catalytic converter body (1) is fixed in a cartridge sleeve (2) and this elastically supported in the housing (5) by way of the bellows (3) and the leaf springs (4).
