Load straps are known, which consist of a strap band, to the ends of which loops for putting onto a load hook, for example, are attached. The strap band of several metres in length is encapsulated in elastic plastic so that it is surrounded tube-like by this plastic. After the plastic is destroyed by burr, sharp edges or wear, the load strap is unserviceable for safety reasons. The object of the invention is to create a load strap whose protective tube is interchangeable and the actual strap band is reusable. This is made possible according to the plan view and side view in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 by bands 4 laid in loops being put into the side walls 2 of a protective tube 1. The loops project laterally from the protective tube. If the loops are put onto fixed abutment pins, a wire with a hook is passed through the protective tube, and the hook is hung in a loop 6 of the strap band 5, the strap band 5 can be pulled through the protective tube in the arrow direction according to Fig. 1. The bands 4, made of plastic, textile or metal, are inserted at at least one end of the protective tube. But it can be convenient to insert these bands with their loops 3 at both ends of the protective tube 1 or over its entire length into its side walls 2. <IMAGE>
