PURPOSE:To feed a strip steel with a stable bend after passing through a leveler by calculating and outputting a intermesh of roller leveler in accordance with an output of a bend detector, a thickness gauge and etc. and by adjusting the intermesh of roller leveler by means of the output. CONSTITUTION:A computing element 2 is capable of calculating an amount of necessary intermesh based on a detecting signal received from the bend detector 3 and the thickness gauge 4, thereby giving the output for an intermesh adjusting device 6. In the case of fluctuations occurred on bend and thickness of the strip steel 1 before the leveler 7 also, the computing element 2 calculates deviation from predetermined target value respectively on the same position of strip steel passing in the order of the bend detector 3, the thickness gauge 4 and the leveler 7 from up-stream, and further calculates the amount of intermesh to be corrected on the leveler 7, and gives the output on amount of the change of intermesh for the intermesh adjusting device 6 in a timing allowing the position of steel strip to reach the outlet of leveler 7, and thereby the intermesh of leveler 7 is adjusted.
