The aim of the invention consists in increasing the effectiveness of the screw temperature-control. This results in the object of providing a temperature-controllable extruder screw with a special temperature-controlled channel system which allows the contact surface-areas for the heat exchange to be enlarged and, by regulation of the temperature-control medium flow rate in the channel system, permits optimum setting of the screw temperature control. This object is achieved by arranging, on the screw shaft in the discharge region, a screw bush with one or two temperature-control channels which are delimited by a single or double threaded external helical groove on the screw shaft and, in the region of the screw land, by an internal helical groove in the bore of the screw bush. The feed of the temperature-control medium into the temperature-control channels takes place separately and controllably via manifold pipes connected to the feed pipe. In the hollow space of the screw tip, the feed pipe is provided with a regulating nozzle for regulating the temperature-control medium flow rate. <IMAGE> |
