To improve and reduce the cost of the known composite constructions in this connection, use is made in addition to the fixed lower crossbar of a movable upper crossbar. The trouser-leg ends are looped forwards over the latter and the movable upper crossbar is then pushed, by the vertical guide bars fitted at its two ends, onto the lower fixed crossbar or inserted into slots or holes provided therein.
