PURPOSE:To eliminate an output signal containing switching noise by a method wherein the titled device is constituted of photoelectric conversion elements and driving circuits which drive those photoelectric conversion elements and a bit in which the photoelectric conversion element is not provided is provided at the first stage. CONSTITUTION:With some signal processing methods, sometimes signals like different data are detected from the first stage and the final stage by the influence of switching noises. Therefore, these switching noises are shifted by 1 stage respectively. As shown in an output signal 608, on the times (t2) and (t3), switching noises of analog switches 501 and 112 and switching noises of analog switches 116 and 502 cancel each other so that no noise component is detected in an output signal. Therefore, the switching noise component is eliminated from one bit before and one bit after the output signal waveform and the signals like different data are not detected after signal processing.
