Device for keeping free a personnel barrier grid in inaccessible spaces which serve for light and substance exchange, such as construction shafts, ducts, chimneys etc., in public constructions and industrial installations. A comb-like device reaches in a cutting manner between the fixed grid bars and removes the foreign bodies held by the barrier grid.
