For controlling, safeguarding and monitoring the movable point parts in particular of fine points, a number of so-called compact devices (KE1 to KE10) is arranged along these point parts. Each compact device consists of an electromotively driven individual point drive with inner closure, a fixable control and possibly a likewise fixable monitoring slide and a sensor arrangement for recognising the slider end positions and their safety state. The compact devices (KE1 to KE4, KE5 to KE8, KE9 and KE10) assigned to the individual movable point parts are grouped into functional regions (FB1 to FB3) and are in each case jointly controlled and monitored. <IMAGE>
