A chain-guide rail for endlessly rotating transport chains of material-web tentering machines contains a supporting rail (3), to which at least one carbon sliding rail (5) is screwed by means of a sliding-rail holder (4). The bottom (6) of the sliding-rail holder (4) has outwardly projecting receptacles (9), into which screw nuts (11) are inserted and which engage with a snug fit into recesses (13) of the supporting rail (3), fastening screws (12) being screwed into the screw nuts from the supporting rail. This leads to a rapid and reliable assembly of the entire chain-guide rail with carbon sliding rails of any length. <IMAGE>
