In the case of a multi-circuit waveguide filter having cavity resonators which are bounded by shutters in planes at right angles to the axis, are separated from one another, are electrically coupled to one another via the shutter openings and are approximately half the waveguide wavelength long, said resonators and the shutters are constructed as tubular elements which are inserted alternately into a guide tube and rest on one another at the ends. In consequence, a simple and cost-effective production capability is achieved with high precision of the waveguide inner surfaces, which is critical for electrical quality. In the case of alternative design, which is particularly suitable for mass production, the waveguide resonators are produced integrally, for example in the casting process. They have internal diameters which become somewhat smaller in steps, the shutters resting on the shoulders thus formed and resting with their circumferences in a push fit on the inner wall of the cavity resonators.
