Method for the production of hot-rolled bevel gears which comprises the successive cutting off of a gear blank (1), the forging of the gear blank (1) in a die and deburring with simultaneous piercing of a central hole (6) in the gear blank (1), the formation of a base surface and of a profile on the rim (5) of the gear blank (1) for the rolling of gear teeth, which is carried out during the drop-forging of the gear blank (1). The portion chosen as the base surface of the gear blank (1) is a portion (2) of the bevelled outer surface (3) of the gear blank (1) adjoining the bottom surface (4) of the gear blank (1). The gear blank (1) is then centred in respect of its base surface and the induction heating of the gear blank (1) is carried out and the hot rolling of the gear teeth is performed, during which operation the gear base surface is simultaneously cooled. <IMAGE>
