A hay crane has a luffing jib and a grab (2), suspended on the jib end (1) and liftable and lowerable by means of a lifting rope (3), as well as engagement means (9, 11, 12, 13) which are provided at the jib end (1) and at the grab head (2a), come into engagement when the grab (2) is fully raised to the jib end (1) and prevent a pivoting movement of the grab in the vertical longitudinal plane of the jib. The grab (2) is guided by the lifting rope (3) relative to the jib end (1) in such a way that the longitudinal beams (14) of the grab (2) which carry the grab prongs (14b) run essentially parallel to the vertical longitudinal centre plane. Four grab attachments (16, 17) are provided which can be releasably connected to the four ends (14') of the two longitudinal beams (14a) and of which each consists of a longitudinal part (16a, 17a) with a plurality of grab prongs (16b, 17b) arranged thereon. The outer grab attachments (16) remote from the crane can each be swung up relative to the longitudinal beams (14a) about a pivot axis (18) running transversely to the longitudinal centre plane and can be locked in the set pivot position by means of a locking device. <IMAGE>
