<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the unevenness of charge, by preventing a discharge current from being concentrated to the end part of a shielding plate. CONSTITUTION:A high voltage 6 is applied across a wire 5 and a photosensitive drum substrate 2 to generate the corona discharge, and the surface of a photosensitive layer 3 is charged. An end part 4-1 of a grounded shield plate 4 is bent to prevent the unevenness of charge due to concentration of the discharge current. When the length of a shielding side-plate 4-2 in the lower stream side of the rotation direction of a photosensitive drum 1 is made shorter than that of a shielding side-plate 4-3 in the upper stream side, ozone generated by discharge is ejected from the inside of a shielding plate 4.</p> |
