PURPOSE:To achieve high quality image display of uniform brightness by regulating the applying voltage of electrodes arranged on the surface of an insulative barrier board to eliminate uneven current flow from a linear hot cathode to an electron beam take-out electrode thereby uniforming the electron beam flow. CONSTITUTION:An electron beam take-out electrode 12 produced by etching a metal plate is arranged while facing against a backface electrode 10 produced by depositing a metal film onto an insulative substrate while placing a linear hot cathode 11 produced by applying an oxide cathode onto the surface of the tungsten wire having specific diameter in the way. Furthermore, an insulative barrier board 13 for insulating the electrodes 10, 12 is provided where a metal film electrode 14 is formed on the surface of the board 13. Upon application of voltage V1, V2 and V3 respectively onto the electrodes 10, 12 and the hot cathode, fluctuated electron beam flow is fed from the electrode 12. A resistor 18 is inserted between the electrodes 14, 15 to regulate the applying voltage within specific range to obtain uniform brightness. |
