PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory joint part and to eliminate the need for cleaning after brazing by changing the compsn. ratios of KF, CsF and AlF3 of a fluoroaluminate flux contg. K and Cs for brazing so that the selection of an optional m.p. and the free selection of a brazing filler metal are made possible. CONSTITUTION:The titled flux has the compsn. consisting, by molar % of single compds., <=62% KF (excluding 0%), 2-74 (excluding 74)% CsF and 26-67% AlF3, contains K and Cs existing as the fluoroaluminate and does not contain free KF or CsF. The compsn. of <42% KF (excluding 0%) and the compsn. of 42-54% KF, 20(excluding 20)-32% Cs and 26-38 (excluding 38)% AlF3 are more preferable as the matching of the m.p. of the brazing filler metal and the melting temp. of the flux is easier to obtain.
