PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment and to simplify constitution by discriminating a variety of frame retrieving marks entered on a film by one mark detecting element so as to detect them. CONSTITUTION:A micro computer 112 compares a retrieval instruction inputted through a console 113 with film retrieval data inputted through a bus line 115, outputs a motor drive signal to a normal rotation drive circuit 116 or a reverse rotation drive circuit 117, and displays the retrieval instruction, the retrieval state of a film, etc., on a display device 114. The microcomputer is provided with one phtoelectric element 37 as a mark detecting element, and detects the mark corresponding to the frame of the roll film approaching a projecting position.
