<p>A weight training bench has a back rest 11 which may be adjusted from vertical through more than 90 DEG using a quadrant locking mechanism 15, the bench being used with a weight stack or hydraulic machine or a barbell machine. The lower part of the seat 12 is independently adjusted using a telescopic support tube 20. The whole of the seat unit may be moved in two opposing directions as shown by arrow 23 for correct location in the case of weight stack or hydraulic machines.
