PURPOSE:To hold a thermal load of the entire furnace at a predetermined value to obtain a stable combustion state by adjusting the auxiliary fuel supply quantity by the furnace outlet temperature and also adjusting the waste supply quantity in accordance with the increase or decrease in the furnace outlet temperature. CONSTITUTION:When the furnace outlet temperature increases, the temperature increase is detected by a temperature meter 11, and an auxiliary fuel supply adjusting valve 14 is adjusted in a close direction, based on a steady state control program 12 to decrease the supply quantity of the auxiliary fuel. The supply quantity of the auxiliary fuel adjusted by the adjusting valve 14 is detected by a flowmeter 15, and the number of revolutions of a waste supplying rotary valve 18 is reduced to decrease the supply quantity of wastes. When the furnace outlet temperature is lowered, the auxiliary fuel supply quantity is increased conversely to the above-described case, and the waste supply quantity is increased in accordance with the increase in the auxiliary fuel supply quantity.
