PURPOSE:To obtain an optical disk base having high heat resistance, by molding and heat-curing a starting material containing a monomer or polymer of a diallyl phthalate type in a mold fitted with a stamper. CONSTITUTION:At least one monomer and/or prepolymer selected from the compounds of the formula are used as components for a material of a disk base. This material is cured by heating in a molding die fitted with a stamper. In the formula, X is H or an alkyl, R is benzene, cyclohexene, cyclohexane, norbornane, 7,7-dichloronorbornane or bivalent atomic groups derived by removing two carbon-bonded hydrogen atoms from alkyl- and/or halogen-substituted products thereof. It is preferable from the easiness of mixing with a polymerization initiator, the easiness of molding or the like reason, the MW of said prepolymer is 5,000-60,000. |
