PURPOSE:To enhance the resolving power in the measurement of a spectrum around specific frequency without prolonging a data obtaining time by varying the frequency of the spectral component of obtained data by a minute amount, by changing the data obtaining time width of a frequency signal by a minute amount. CONSTITUTION:A spectral component with certain center frequency is continuously calculated through a calculation means 6 by the setting operation of a specific frequency setting dial 1, a sampling frequency setting dial 2 and a frequency resolving power setting dial 3 and displayed on a display means 8 in an on-line system. A frequency vernier dial 4 is adjusted and the data obtaining time width T of a frequency signal is changed by a minute amount DELTAT. By this method, the minute amount movement of specific frequency 5K is performed and the spectral component around the frequency fK is calculated and displayed in detail. By this method, the dissolving power in the measurement around the specific frequency fK can be enhanced to a magnification value higher than 1/T(Hz).
